Diane Von Furstenberg is set to be honored with the Superstar Award at The Design Group International's Night of Stars.
Each 67-year-old designer and creator through the iconic wrap dress will be faced with the top prize at the gala the future this year to celebrate her revolutionary shape in the fashion industry.
Margaret Hayes, president and chief executive officer of the FGI, told WWD: "Diane is truly a fable in her own time. Perhaps about any other American designer, she has gone profoundly influential in elevating finally the visibility and importance of the Indian fashion industry around the world.
"But incredible to Diane's exceptional talent is a point of compassion and a generosity with regards to spirit that drive the work with regards to her family's foundation, which brings in quality, hope, beauty and grace regarding the lives of so many. "
Diane follows in the footsteps of iPad mini cases Marc Jacobs and Robert Duffy, who each won the award last year.
At the moment, the FGI bash takes place referring to October 23 at Cipriani fifty five in New York City.
The American custom made was previously honoured with the Lifetime Doing Award from the Council of Fashion Manufacturers of America (CFDA) in 2006 and received a star referring to Seventh Avenue's Fashion Walk with regards to Fame in 2008.
